 WHO WE ARE

The Asheville Communities Network is information and education on co-housing and other intentional community options in the Asheville area for those who are actively seeking or simply curious about alternate lifestyles for themselves and their families.  We strive to serve as the clearinghouse and connector for all forms of intentional community in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

This site has resources, definitions and links for general information on all forms of intentional community.  More locally, we include profiles and contacts for many of the existing and forming communities in Asheville, North Carolina and the surrounding areas.

Our organization previously held monthly gatherings to foster education and training to learn about alternative forms of community and living together. We are a place to gather and share, a place to coordinate efforts so each group knows they don't have to reinvent the wheel.  We relationship build and introduce new people to the concepts of living in community.
